After 5 wonderful years in apprenticeship under Domini Velvetti, a 7th generation gelati master in Florence, Italy, Anna Fuccelo returned to the United States to pursue her dream of sharing true Italian gelato in her home state of California. Using the traditional, heirloom recipes passed to her from her mentor Anna began selling her hand-crafted gelato at the local farmer’s market in 2 to 3 flavors depending on the available local ingredients and quickly became a star attraction. 5 years later, after overwhelming support from the community, Anna has opened her own shop in Sacramento, California, named for her beloved friend and mentor who passed peacefully in 2018.
